Sewer Line & Conduit Locating
Sewer lines and empty conduits can be located using a number of different kinds of equipment. One method involves inserting a duct rodder with a locatable core, into the pipe or sewer and utilizing a pipe and cable locator to mark the path of the pipe.
A Fish Tape with a snake on the end for easy insertion can also be used to go into sewer or empty conduit to locate the path of the pipe utilizing a pipe and locator.
A sewer camera with a built in sonde can be inserted into either type of utility to record the condition of the pipe and to locate the path of the pipe with the built in sonde. A sonde can be attached to the duct rodder or the Fish Tape and located by using a pipe locator with the capability of locating the frequency emitted by the sonde.
